FTC affiliate disclosure
FTC affiliate disclosure is the legal requirement that a material connection between an endorser and a brand, including affiliate commissions and AI-generated endorsements, be disclosed clearly to the audience.
US FTC guidance requires that any material connection behind an endorsement be disclosed. For affiliate content that means the commission relationship, and for synthetic or AI-generated creators it also means disclosing that the endorser is not a real person.
Attribloom's model treats disclosure as load-bearing, not optional: disclosure is designed into generated content so a program stays compliant by default rather than relying on each creator to remember.
Frequently asked
Do AI-generated endorsements need disclosure?
Yes. Both the affiliate relationship and the synthetic nature of an AI endorser are material connections that must be disclosed to the audience.
