Attribution
Conversion attribution
Conversion attribution is the practice of crediting a sale, install, or subscription to the marketing touchpoint that caused it, so you know which affiliate or channel actually drove revenue.
Attribution answers a single question: which link caused this conversion? Without it, you cannot pay affiliates fairly or measure a channel honestly.
Attribloom attributes server side. A conversion is confirmed by the platform that processed it (Apple for App Store purchases, Shopify for store orders), not by a browser pixel that can be blocked or spoofed.
Frequently asked
What is the difference between click attribution and conversion attribution?
Click attribution records that a link was tapped. Conversion attribution ties the resulting purchase, install, or subscription back to that link, which is what determines a commission.
Why is server-side attribution more reliable?
Server-side attribution reads the conversion from the system that processed the payment, so it is not affected by ad blockers, cookie limits, or client-side tampering.
