Testing attribution

Test the same path a referred customer will use, then confirm the conversion belongs to the expected affiliate.

Test iOS attribution

Use an app registered as Sandbox, an affiliate link on that app's campaign, and a Sandbox Apple Account. Tap Continue to the App Store on the link interstitial, install and launch the test build, and make a Sandbox purchase. The app should bind on first launch, keep the returned appAccountToken, and set it on the StoreKit 2 purchase. The forwarded Apple notification should then produce a test conversion for the affiliate. Sandbox activity does not create payable commission.

Read the iOS Attribution status

Before any notification arrives, the app detail page shows Last notification received: None yet and Attributed conversions: 0, followed by None yet. Make a Sandbox test purchase to confirm attribution works end to end. After the test, the last-notification value should no longer be empty and the Attribution view should show the test conversion. If your app does not show Active, finish ownership verification before expecting conversions to attribute.

Test a web postback

First open an affiliate tracking link so Attribloom records a click. Complete a test sale through your site, then have your server send the same signed conversion postback it will send in production. Use a unique stable external order ID and the recorded click ID when available. A successful request returns HTTP 200. Confirm the conversion appears under Conversions for the expected affiliate. Sending the same external ID again should not create another conversion.

Test Shopify attribution

For a discount-code test, place a test order using the expected affiliate's unique discount code. For a tracking-link test, visit the storefront with the affiliate referral, add an item, and place a test order after the storefront has written the `ref` cart attribute. Confirm the Shopify order contains the expected referral signal, then check Attribloom Conversions for the expected affiliate. Refund the test order when finished and confirm its commission is clawed back.
